Fuck LA 03:12
Fuck LA. Feels like I gotta say that every day I’m already there before we hit the runway So come get me Come put me in a better place But first we gotta sit on the interstate I’m choking on traffic in this cancerous maze I oughta just cancel plans before they get made I don’t get how you operate And when I say “fuck LA” Everything takes twice the time and somehow that’s okay And so my nervous rage has no place to dissipate And while everyone’s relaxed with the sun shining on their face I’m here like, “fuck LA” You see, I persevere I struggle through New York winters every year Where only the strong survive and the rest go out there where you never have to complicate And when I say “fuck LA” I hate how you take another one of my friends like every day And they’re paying you a next-to-nothing rent just to habitate some beautiful spot on the beach down in Marina del Rey Yeah, fuck LA! Fuck LA. You’re better than that boy on the beach who can barely communicate But to settle down here must be an easy thing to contemplate Well, if I ever want to know what it’s like to live in such a beautiful place... No, fuck LA.

about

Behaviorist New York

Subversive, experimental pop by baritone saxophonist & songwriter Stephen Chen (San Fermin, Ghost Funk Orchestra). Named after the psychological revolution that imagined living beings as manipulable machines, Behaviorist takes an incisively critical look at human behavior with startlingly frank lyrics set over symphonic horns and pianos, icy electronic stillnesses, and flashes of 80’s rock. ... more
